ABA – Early intensive care for children with autism
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a widespread intervention in children with autism, beginning at a tender preschool age early as it starts before school age and is intensive with many hours per week (8-10 hours).
It is based on the basic principles of behavior that considers that behavior is the result of learning which is accelerated through interaction with the environment. That is, human behavior is shaped and therefore largely maintained depending on the events that precede and follow the specific behavior.
It is a structured behavioral program that teaches social skills, basic communication skills, speech, reading, self-care, verbal and non-verbal imitation skills and playing games. The ultimate goal of therapy is to teach socially acceptable behaviors. Desired behaviors can be taught through a system of rewards and consequences.
Supervise the course and target the program once or twice a month by an approved BCBA Behavior Analyzer.
