Special Education is a science whose purpose is to integrate children with special educational needs into the school and social context in which they live. The main goal is to eliminate the marginalization and isolation of these children.

Special Education provides educational services to students and the role of the special education teacher is important in improving the learning level of the child.

Steps to be followed by the special educator:

• Evaluation of the child by examining all skills at hand and setting program goals.

• Personalized intervention program in order to strengthen the child’s weaknesses.

• The goals are constantly re- set evolve during the program depending on the child’s development

• Reading & Writing

• Social skills

• Understanding of a reading passage
